About Me

Live Illustration and Graphic Facilitation by Esther Springett

Esther sits in her home studio and smiles at the camera holding an iPad and wireless stylus pencil. Behind her is an assortment of books on a shelf, framed artwork, house plant and an abstract face mobile hanging on the wall.

I am a live event illustrator, graphic recorder, infographic artist and facilitator based in Hastings, UK. I work across the country and globally, specialising in person-centred facilitation, visioning, strategy and planning with individuals, teams, organisations, businesses and corporate clients.

I've created live illustration for clients ranging from institutions such as the University of Cambridge and the London College of Communication to leading global companies including ABB and RingCentral.

I am a passionate visual communicator and believe in the power of visual learning to increase understanding, promote accessibility and empower people.

From a young age I have been attuned to ways of communicating beyond words, growing up with a sister with profound learning disabilities. My sister and I connect through art, beautiful story books, music and ice cream. Our sensory environment is the world where we connect.

Through visual scribing and workshop facilitation, I create powerful striking visuals which are used as tools for change. I collaborate with a range of individuals, organisations and businesses to visualise goals and propel ideas into action using dynamic visual mapping tools.

With a background in learning disability and mental health advocacy, I use my graphic facilitation toolkit to open up new channels of communication and understanding. My work in person-centred planning is impactful and leads to greater agency and autonomy for the individuals and teams I work with.

I hold a BA Hons in Critical Fine Art Practice and have over a decade of experience in leadership, facilitation and producing. My journey has led me to work on national socially engaged art programmes, advocacy, social activism, and rights-based work with neurodivergent individuals and their support networks.
